Expression is the act of displaying your love and affection for your significant other. All individuals should be able to do this with freedom. Though there are many opinions on how marriage should be defined, as Psychology Today stated, “Marriage means that no matter how much you value beauty, perfection, and social approval, that sometimes you might have to accept that life is much less than “perfect” than you had ever expected”, it has relation to laws like civil rights, and religious aspects, possibly even business but in the 21st century, the biggest motivation for marriage is love and commitment to one’s significant other. All marriages, regardless of the race, presented sexualities, or gender of the couples, should be respected and recognised. The expressive act of love is a crucial part, in not just marriages, but relationships as it communicates affection. Not allowing citizens to express this is taking away a major part of their lives; thus, creating inequality.
